Come experience what the Vancouver Sun hailed as a "Phenomenon"! Paul Anthony’s Talent Time is a live comedy/variety/talk show performed in the heart of Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant. Now in its 6th season, this entertaining and unique two-hour live show is also a fast-paced, half-hour television series broadcast on both Shaw TV and the Novus Network. The show pays homage to the classic variety show format, mixed with elements of the prevailing talent shows of today, but with a focus on local personalities and divergent entertainment. Another distinction is that it’s not a competition; it’s a celebration!

Not only has this community program captured the attention of the city, it has also garnered the support of recognized artists such as Iggy Pop, Malcolm McDowell, Alan Cumming, Randy Quaid, Reggie Watts, Neil Hamburger and Dave Foley. Recent exposure has landed host Paul Anthony on Radar Online, Entertainment Tonight Canada, the pages of HELLO Magazine, Vancouver Magazine, BeatRoute, The Georgia Straight, The Globe & Mail and the covers of the Vancouver Sun and the WestEnder.

However, the show’s focus is not on famous people from faraway lands, but rather on fascinating humans who could be your next door neighbour. What makes Talent Time unrivalled is the diversity of authentic talent. You just never know what to expect. The country’s best stand-up comedians, musical acts, laughter therapists, comic hypnotists, Chinese lion dancers, extreme wrestlers, psychics, break-dancers, high school drumlines, ping-pong champions, martial artists, animal acts, barbershop quartets, and more all share the stage. Every age, ethnicity, and style of talent is represented.

In this talk show format, you don’t just see these unique artists perform. You get to meet and form a deeper appreciation for them. We pride ourselves in featuring fascinating people, and we see our audience as an extension of that. We don't think there is another group of people anywhere more supportive, open minded and eager to prop others up than a Talent Time audience. If you would rather cheer on the human race than pick it apart with cynicism, we invite you to join us!
